Returning to Normal

Posted 8 hours ago

In the midst of the pandemic, we made several adjustments to continue serving you as safely as possible. Some temporary changes included transactions which normally are only handled in the lobby being done in the drive-thru. With mandates being lifted, numbers trending downward, and new CDC guidelines enacted, things are finally returning to normal at Pillar.

Effective July 1, 2021, the following transaction types will be conducted exclusively in the lobby as before:

• shared branching

• cash advances

• car loan payment with card

• cashier’s checks

• money orders

• gift cards (purchase and reloading)

• non-members cashing a check from a Pillar member

Stimulus Checks - March 2021

Posted 3 months ago

You can visit the IRS website to check on the status of your stimulus payment. It's updated as new information becomes available. If you look at your account (thru Online Banking or the mobile app), you might see it in the Pending Transactions section. That's where you'll see details on when the IRS releases your funds. If you don't normally receive your tax refund via direct deposit, your stimulus will be sent as a paper check or prepaid card delivered over the next few weeks.

Be Sure You Verify Fraud Protection Calls

Posted 11 months ago

We've had several members say they've received a call from someone stating they're calling from the Fraud Department. The message instructs the member to call them back at an 800 number and verify the last 4 digits on their card. While sometimes this could be a phishing scam, there are instances where this is legitimate. If you receive a call and you’re suspicious, get the case number they're supplying, hang up, call our number (740-389-9960), and someone on our staff will be able to verify. The numbers to call for our fraud protection partner are 1-844-682-4502 or 1-877-273-5740. Again, just because that number shows up on caller ID that doesn't guarantee it's legitimate.
