Kenton Avenue Hours of Operation Changing
Posted 3 weeks ago
In 2020, your credit union has undergone many changes.
Perhaps the most significant was our name change to Pillar - better representing the thousands of members we serve, our board, the staff, and the credit union itself - standing strong since 1960.
We also expanded and renovated the Barks Road office to accommodate our recent growth.
While the above two were planned events, COVID-19 landed on us with no notice and imposed many operational changes. We have complied with the health department and CDC guidelines in our offices to keep employees and members safe.
The Board of Directors and management team gathered data on traffic at the Kenton Avenue location over the last five years and find that the number of transactions is declining substantially. To make sure Pillar’s resources (both human and financial) are allocated in a responsible way, drive-thru services at Kenton Avenue will be limited to Thursday and Friday only starting November 1, 2020. ATM services will always be available with no changes anticipated or planned.
This certainly wasn’t a quick or easy decision and we’ve spent countless hours going over the information and coming to this decision. We recognize and regret the inconvenience caused due to this change and appreciate your continued support.

Be Sure You Verify Fraud Protection Calls
Posted 3 months ago
We've had several members say they've received a call from someone stating they're calling from the Fraud Department. The message instructs the member to call them back at an 800 number and verify the last 4 digits on their card. While sometimes this could be a phishing scam, there are instances where this is legitimate. If you receive a call and you’re suspicious, get the case number they're supplying, hang up, call our number (740-389-9960), and someone on our staff will be able to verify. The numbers to call for our fraud protection partner are 1-844-682-4502 or 1-877-273-5740. Again, just because that number shows up on caller ID that doesn't guarantee it's legitimate.
