Gifting VIP Experiences to Random Members Pillar Credit Union Celebrates 65 Years

At Pillar Credit Union, our members are more than just account holders—they’re family. For over 65 years, we’ve had the privilege of serving the communities of Marion, Morrow, Crawford, Hancock, Wyandot, and Richland counties, building trust generation after generation. To mark our 65th birthday this year, we wanted to do something special to say “thank you” to the people who’ve made us who we are today. So, we decided to surprise several randomly selected members with VIP tickets to an experience of their choice—on us!

A Gesture of Gratitude

The idea came from a simple question: how can we show our appreciation in a way that’s meaningful and fun? We’ve always prided ourselves on going beyond banking—whether it’s offering a warm smile in our lobbies or finding new ways to give back. Gifting VIP tickets felt like the perfect fit. It’s a chance for our members to enjoy something unforgettable, whether that’s a concert, a sports event, or a special show, all while knowing it’s our way of saying, “We’re so glad you’re part of the Pillar family.”

For our 65th birthday celebration, we gave away 6 sets of VIP tickets to randomly chosen members. But this isn’t a one-time thing! We’ve been rolling out these surprises every other month, just because we love seeing our members light up. It’s our little way of sharing the joy of this milestone with the people who’ve trusted us with their banking needs for decades.

Why Random Members?

We chose to gift random members because every single person in our Pillar community matters. From 4th-generation members who’ve grown up with us to new faces who just walked through our doors, each one plays a role in our story. Picking winners at random keeps it fair, fun, and exciting—it could be anyone! Maybe it’s the member who’s been with us since day one, or maybe it’s someone who just downloaded our app last week.
